American Girl

We like to take the girls to their favourite overpriced American Girl store at least once or twice a year... usually for birthdays or special occasions.  This time it was to celebrate Kaia's birthday and Amber's recent First Communion.

This store is a pretty neat concept for little girls... you can purchase one of their staple dolls from a different era, a doll of the year or there's also the option to buy a doll to match your child's features.

Kaia has Julie... she's an era doll from the 1970's (the best era if you ask me).  Amber has McKenna... she was the doll of 2012.  We chose her because she shares the same features of Amber, blond hair blue eyes.  Who wouldn't want a doll that looks exactly like them?

The store is a lot of fun for the girls.  The have a variety of clothing to match with the dolls, a beauty salon, an ear piercing station and even a restaurant to take your doll out to.

This is what Jace thinks of the American Girl store lol

Amber insisted I take a pic of this... she says the girl on the right looks like her friend Daphne and I said the girl on the left looks like her... cute coincidence :)

The girls walked out with some goodies from Nanny... she loves to spoil her girls :) Thank you Nanny!!

Amber chose a guitar kit for her doll and Kaia chose a get well cast kit for her doll.  They also took home surprise bags that had a swimsuit outfit, a cap, the new Saige movie,  and matching American Girl t's to wear.
